ALAÏA
Alaïa founded by the Tunisian-born Azzedine Alaïa defined the 1980s with his iconic bodycon dresses. Alaïa moulded his creations to the female body and was revered for his understanding of the female silhouette. The notoriously press-shy couturier was trained by Christian Dior himself after moving to Paris in 1957. Today his legacy is carried by Pieter Mulier, who continues to perfect the masterful tailoring. Alaïa´s signatures include meticulous laser-cut heels, totes and waist-cinching belts.
